Proceeds from this program will benefit the Bachus Conservatory, a premier music school in Austin, Texas offering an integrated approach to music education.  Bachus Conservatory was established in 2007 by founder Brett Bachus, a nationally acclaimed concert pianist and cellist, and Sue Bachus, general manager and entrepreneur. Funds raised from this program will go toward music instruments and recording equipment for the school.

Now in its fourth season, Spotlight on Opera was founded by director Cindy Sadler in 2007 at the request of St. Edward’s Music Department Head Dr. Michael McKelvey.  Spotlight began as a summer opera program, and as of fall 2009 has expanded to a full season of offerings. The program is open to community members as well as students. Spotlight welcomes career track and avocational singers and provides a place where students receive caring guidance and growth as an artist.

Spotlight on Opera is a program of St. Edward's University, a 501(c)3 institution. Donations to Spotlight on Opera are tax-deductible and help provide high quality training and performance opportunities for aspiring singers in the greater Austin area and beyond.  For more information about other performances during Spotlight's 2010 Summer Season (July 25 – August 15, 2010), please visit www.SpotlightOnOpera.com.
